Bob Salyers – Assistant Trainer

Bob has worked for Roseland Farms for the past two years.  He is the assistant trainer at Roseland, trains his own horses, and accepts some outside horses for training.  It is truly the love of his life.

Bob has also been a farrier for 20 years and shoes all of Roseland Farm’s horses.  Bob considers himself extremely lucky to have learned his skills from “one of the best shoers of reining horses”, Gale Callaway.  Gale’s natural abilities and talent have helped Bob to refine his skills and aspire to be the best he can be.  Bob is forever grateful to Gale.

Bob has also had the great fortune of riding with one of the top reining trainers in the industry, who he feels privileged to call a dear friend, 2 million dollar rider Shawn Flarida.  Bob started riding with Shawn over 20 years ago when he graduated from high school.  Bob met Shawn at a reining demonstration in Columbus, Ohio and knew from that moment that reining was going to be a part of his life. 

Bob was born in Springfield, Ohio where he has lived most of his life.  Bob currently lives in South Vienna, Ohio with his fiancée, Nancy.
